Replacement cartridges for the Dr.Pen A1 microneedling pen. Each cartridge is individually sealed and single-use — attach to the A1, complete your session, and dispose of it after. Available in six tip types across 10, 20, and 30-pack sizes.
Cartridge Type Guide
- 12-Pin — Fewer contact points per pass, giving you deliberate control over smaller or detailed areas: around the nose, lips, and jaw. The most comfortable starting point if you're new to the A1.
- 24-Pin — Mid-range pin count for general full-face use. Covers forehead, cheeks, and chin in steady, even passes. The most common choice for weekly facial routines.
- 36-Pin — More coverage per pass than 24-Pin. Reduces the number of passes needed across larger zones — use it for the full face, neck, or décolletage.
- 42-Pin — Broadest contact area in the A1 range. Best for wide, flat areas like the neck, chest, or thighs where maximum surface coverage per pass matters.
- Nano-R — Round nano tip with no penetrating needles. The curved surface glides cleanly across cheekbones and forehead to support serum absorption at the skin surface. Use for daily maintenance and lightweight serum routines.
- Nano-S — Square 7×7 nano tip. The flat grid delivers more even pressure across flat areas than the round tip — a gentler option for the eye zone, forehead lines, and thin or sensitive skin.
Pack Size
- 10 Pack — Approximately 2–3 months of weekly use. A good size for trying a new cartridge type before committing to a larger order.
- 20 Pack — Suits a consistent weekly or twice-weekly routine without running short between restocks.
- 30 Pack — Lowest cost per cartridge. Order once you know which type works for your skin and want fewer reorder cycles.

FAQ
Are these cartridges compatible with my Dr.Pen A1 device?
Yes, these cartridges are made specifically for the Dr.Pen A1 pen. They are not interchangeable with other Dr.Pen models such as the A6, A8S, A10, or M7. Before ordering, please double-check that your device is the Dr.Pen A1 to ensure a secure fit and consistent results. Using an incompatible cartridge may affect needle depth accuracy and overall performance.
What needle configurations are available for the A1 cartridges?
Dr.Pen A1 replacement cartridges come in several pin options to address different skin needs: 12-Pin, 24-Pin, 36-Pin, and 42-Pin round-tip cartridges for standard microneedling coverage, plus Nano-R (nano-crystal) and Nano-S (silicone nano) cartridges for gentle surface-level work. Lower pin counts like 12-Pin are great for precise, smaller areas, while 36-Pin and 42-Pin are better suited for broader coverage on the cheeks, forehead, and neck. Nano cartridges are ideal for sensitive zones and improving product absorption without deep penetration.
How many times can I use one cartridge before replacing it?
Each Dr.Pen A1 cartridge is intended for single-session use only. The micro-needles begin to dull after just one treatment, and continuing to use a worn cartridge can cause unnecessary drag on the skin, uneven results, and increased risk of irritation. For safety and best results, always use a fresh, sealed cartridge at the start of every session and dispose of it responsibly in a sharps container afterward.
Are the A1 cartridges safe and sterile for home use?
Absolutely. Every Dr.Pen A1 cartridge is individually sealed in a sterile pouch and sterilized using EO (ethylene oxide) sterilization, meeting safety standards for at-home use. To preserve sterility, only open the packaging right before your session, avoid touching the needle tip, and never set the cartridge down on an unsterilized surface. If you suspect a cartridge has been contaminated prior to use, discard it and open a new one.
I'm new to microneedling — which A1 cartridge should I start with?
The Dr.Pen A1 is an excellent entry-level device, and for first-time users, we recommend starting with a 12-Pin or 24-Pin cartridge at a shallow depth setting (0.25 mm–0.5 mm) to allow your skin to adjust. Once you are comfortable with how your skin responds, you can gradually move to a higher pin count for broader coverage or increase the depth as needed. Nano cartridges are also a beginner-friendly option — they work on the skin's surface to enhance serum absorption with minimal sensation, making them a great starting point for those with sensitive skin.
